Rashmie visits the inner recesses of her mind again and again, and she taps into her innate sense of the unseen yet ‘felt’ experiences, to convey through her art, her interpretation of the sensory versus the tactile.
With the infinite horizon of the sea as a constant source of inspiration, the presence of lines, colours and depth is evident in her works. She has developed a unique style of painting that resonates instantly with the mind even while one is still visually perceiving the composition of the piece.
The artist captures the momentary, sensory effect, communicating what we do not see but feel all around us. As you go deeper you start on a quest of self-discovery leading you to the unknown within yourself. One is immediately affected by her abstract, thought-provoking representation of a searching journey of the Soul and the Universe.
Rashmie Tyagi is a self taught artist, based out of Mumbai. A graduate in Psychology and English Literature from Lucknow India she is a recipient of the the Maharashtra State Award for Painting in 2018 awarded by The Prafulla Art Foundation.
Her works have been exhibited across galleries in India, Middle East and Europe.
